MINUTES OF 3 MAY 2007 OCEANS ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
Command Representatives Present: None
1. The meeting was called to order at 1430
2. Old Business:
a. Bosses Night. NTR
b. Right-hand Person/Sailor of the Quarter (SOQ). NTR
c. Automated Teller Machine (ATM). Correction to last minutes, ATM fee is $1.75 vice $1.50.
d. Jukebox. The music box is installed playing some of your favorite tunes. If there are songs that you would like to hear and they are not on the current play list, drop your selections/suggestions on a club comment card and the board will do our best to oblige.
e. Draft Beer Machine. NTR.
f. Cinco de Mayo Celebration. Chiefs and their guest, in celebration of “Cinco de Mayo”, the club welcomes you to enjoy a delicious palate of Mexican-style pupus and much more (i.e., tacos, burritos, taquitos, etc.) on Friday 4 May from 1400 until. So bring your appetite and relax with us it should make for a good time for all.
3. New business:
a. Club renovation project involving this years CPO Inductees. Currently NAVSTA perspective inductees will assist in renovation/clean-up projects around the club. All messes and their inductees are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile preservation project. The club will only shine as bright as its caretakers make it so.
b. Proposed future events. Listed are some proposed and/or upcoming events: Upcoming NBA Championship games, Sports Trivia Night and Beer Tasting (Guess the name of the beer).
c. Coins and other goodies. Club coins are on order and they should arrive soon. We are also ordering more Tees and ballcaps.
4. Good of the Order:
a. The Ocean’s Club Advisory Board will begin soliciting for FY-08 board members around September 2007. More details to be announced at a later date.
b. Commands are strongly encouraged to have a representative from their CPO Mess and/or CPOA attend the Oceans CPO Club Advisory Board Meetings to voice their desires and concerns. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month and the third Thursday if needed.
5. The meeting adjourned at 1505. The next meeting will be held at the Oceans CPO Club on 7 June 2007 at 1430.
OCEANS CPO CLUB ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF 10 APRIL 2007
Command Representatives Present: None
1. The meeting was called to order at 1440.
2. Old Business:
a. Bosses Night. The last Bosses Night was a huge success! The next one is scheduled for 8 June at 1400-1600. Bring your boss to check out the Chiefs Club! Pupus will be available. This event is also tentatively scheduled for 14 September 2007, so mark your calendars.
b. Right-hand Person/Sailor of the Quarter (SOQ). Since the last turnout was on point, the club is bringing it to you again on 29 June 2007 at 1400-1700. Chiefs bring your SOQ, LPO’s or any deserving Sailor to enjoy some great grinds, DJ and a $500 cash prize drawing. This event is also tentatively scheduled for 28 September 2007.
c. Automated Teller Machine (ATM). For your convenience the ATM is now installed and ready for use. Keep in mind, when using the ATM it does charge a nominal fee of $1.50 per withdrawal, plus any fees your bank may impose.
d. Jukebox. The tunes you want to hear should be coming soon. The box should be in the club by the end of May 2007.
e. Draft Beer Machine. Still working out the kinks on getting this installed more details to follow.
f. March Madness Championship Game Party. This years March Madness Ocean’s CPO Club activities went over with a bang! Thanks to all Chiefs and their guests who supported this event.

Chiefs and their guest, in celebration of “Cinco de Mayo”, the club welcomes you to enjoy a delicious palate of Mexican-style pupus and much more (i.e., tacos, burritos, taquitos, etc.) on Friday 4 May from 1400 until. So bring your appetite and relax with us it should make for a good time for all.
